The years they spend at Baylor College of Medicine will not only shape their careers, but their lives. Recently, Ronald J. Pinkenburg, M.D. ’67, a Houston native who was the first in his family to go to medical school, reflected on his time at Baylor and his career in medicine.

Just meeting the teachers here formed the first impression on him. “The various professors seemed to be more excited about conveying their love of medicine and care of patients than elsewhere.” He’s carried the lessons he learned as a student through more than five decades of care:
