We invite you to join us in honoring Dr. Frankfort's work by making a gift to the Ophthalmology and Neuroscience Research Fund. Your contribution, large or small, helps support the innovative research and world-class patient care that saves lives.

Dr. Benjamin J. Frankfort, Clifton R. McMichael Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology, is a professor in the Departments of Ophthalmology and Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. A graduate of Baylor’s M.D./Ph.D. program in 2005, Dr. Frankfort completed his residency at The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute and returned to Baylor in 2009 for a glaucoma fellowship before joining the faculty in 2010. He runs a nationally recognized, NIH-funded research lab focused on glaucoma, particularly the effects of intraocular pressure on retinal biology, leading to significant publications and two patent filings. Alongside his clinical and research work, Dr. Frankfort serves as co-director of Baylor’s M.D./Ph.D. program, which has over 100 students, and considers this leadership role one of the highlights of his career.
