In 2014, Dr. David Sugarbaker came to Baylor College of Medicine. A pioneer in the field of thoracic surgery, his aim was to build clinical, research and training programs of global impact.

Today, the David J. Sugarbaker Division of Thoracic Surgery is proud to continue his work. The Endowed Fund, named in his honor, will support the Division’s training of future thoracic surgeons and will carry on his legacy.
